Where is your switch?
Electric circuits are everywhere in our modern world. Through this electrifying, hands-on activity, you will learn about the simple circuit inside a flashlight. The added challenge will be to create a working switch that powers your flashlight off and on.

Scenario: In industry, all products must go through a design process before they are manufactured. This ensures that the product is of high quality and meets a need in society. A flashlight without a switch will always be on and will drain the battery quickly.
Imagine that you are a product designer working at Flash, Inc. You have been challenged to design a flashlight that is small enough to attach to a purse or a backpack and can be powered off and on with a switch.
